What I believe

The point of view
behind the work.

01

AI will not replace great salespeople, but it will redefine what great looks like.

02

Sales performance is a system, not a collection of heroic individual efforts.

03

Technology must be sold through outcomes, not features.

04

Sustainable performance comes from data, coaching, clarity and accountability.

I'm Chris Berry — a technology sales leader and AI strategist based in the UK. I'm Sales Director at IEG Group, leading commercial teams selling complex technology solutions into local government, the NHS and public-sector organisations.

My work sits at the intersection of AI, strategy, process and people. I believe most sales failures aren't about product — they're about insight, qualification, and organisational alignment. That belief is what drove me to build the CHRIS Framework and the Multi-Thread Sales methodology.

I write and speak about how AI is reshaping sales — not replacing the human relationship at the heart of complex deals, but dramatically changing how we research, qualify, and engage. I believe AI will not replace great salespeople, but it will expose average ones.

Away from work, golf is my laboratory for understanding performance — I use data, coaching, deliberate practice and AI to explore how marginal gains are created and why improvement is rarely linear.

Five Things I Ask AI to Do as a Sales Director Every Week

I used to write prompts to get AI to think like a Chief Revenue Officer. I don't any more. Here's what changed, and the five things I still ask it to do every week.

The Pursuit of Scratch

Golf is my
performance laboratory.

I use data, coaching, deliberate practice and AI to explore how marginal gains are created and why improvement is rarely linear. Preparation beats talent on a bad day. Course management beats aggression over 18 holes. I write about the journey honestly — the good rounds, the frustrating ones, and what the sport keeps teaching me about performance.
